Kamaladaya visits Casa Azul

I was very grateful to have my good friend Kamaladaya, from the Colchester Buddhist Centre come and watch me swim today. Another beautiful sunny day with a sea temperature of 11.1 degrees a a high tide of 5.52m at 14:08. The wind was much less today, only 5mph and West South Westerly, which made a real difference and didn’t have the threat of spilling over the wall in front of the beach hut.

The new sign for our beach hut, beautifully designed and painted by Cheryl Dee with additional craftsmanship from her husband Dave is now up and in place. It celebrates the work of the Mexican surrealist artist Frida Kahlo with the colour of her house in New Mexico City along with it’s name being celebrated in our beach hut. The whole concept is the inspiration of my artist partner Sandra and the inside is also a homage to the late Frida’s work.
