I Love These Sunny Mornings

Another beautiful sunny morning with a gentle North Westerly breeze of only 8mph was what greeted me at 10:30 this morning. The water temperature took a very slight decrease down to 11.5 degrees, but getting out of the water in the sunshine is always a pleasure. It can be tricky sometimes when I’m swimming into the sun as my visibility it not that great when it shimmers off the water, but it’s the icing on the cake of the cold water swimming experience when it is so wonderfully bright.

I remembered to start my stop watch today and clocked 12 minutes 37 seconds which is a vast improvement of my time in the summer which was often nearer to 18 minutes. It’s still a greater length of immersion than last winter but I am hopeful that I will still be ok when we hit single figures, probably later in the month or in early December.
