Great to be back

A day after any swim in the snow on 9th February I strained a muscle in my back which incapacitated me completely for a few days and has taken time to heal. So I was really pleased to get back in the water and just for fun decided to strap my son’s ‘action camera’ to my swim buoy to see if I could capture some interesting action footage. Unfortunately the weight of the camera meant that it ‘capsized’ quite soon after I started swimming, which meant I ended up with about 10 minutes of underwater film of the back of my trunks! I may put an edited version on the website but I will also offer a full version to my small band of subscribers to my monthly newsletter.

For those interested in the stats for today they were:

Water temperature: 5.4 degrees

Air temperature: 8.0 degrees

Wind speed: 7mph

High Tide: 11:30

Height: 4.68m
