First swim of 2021
Recording the lowest water temperature of the winter so far (at just 6.5 degrees) today’s swim was a little trickier than it should have been. Unusually west-north-westerly wind combined with a pretty strong current meaning a little more effort was required than usual. I think staying up past midnight hosting the Buddhist Centre’s New Year’s Eve event and then leading the 7am meditation this morning meant that I had a little less energy than usual!
However I was buoyed by the number of people around the promenade taking an interest in the challenge as well as another visit from a friend from the Buddhist Centre. My new “donation box” collected a total of £30.35 in generous cash donations - huge thanks to all those who left money, which has now been safely donated via my donation page, bringing the grand total to £1888.04 so far.
