Is there anything better?

A perfect end to the day, with the sun sinking down over Mersea Island. The wind was a tad brisk and the sea rather lively. So today I settled for 500m as I was aware the sun was disappearing fast. Lots of people on the promenade wishing me well, which was great and my Mum was also there to take a quick photo.

Due to the times of the tide I start an enforced break until Christmas Eve when I hope to be back in the water again at 9.38am. Unless there are very poor conditions I will also be swimming on Christmas Day at 10:30 and Boxing Day at 11:18.
