Grey

Difficult to elaborate on today’s 500m swim. The sky was grey, the clouds were grey and the sea was grey. My mood on the other hand was suffused with Led Zeppelin. Starting with The Ocean from Houses of the Holy (of course) and then a dive into some classics from Physical Graffiti. I did have a small friendly audience when I went in of dog walkers and strollers, he paused just to see the spectacle with their own eyes.

The temperature was 8.7 degrees, the same as yesterday but the wind had swung round to be northerly and very gentle. Hands and feet were cold when I got out but as this swim was 5 minutes quicker than yesterday there was no significant Afterdrop, just a little trembling as I made my way home.
