Great to be back in the water!

After an enforced break due to tide times I was back in the sea today. A brisk south-south-westerly breeze coming straight off the sea made this an awkward return. The temperature had improved from the last few days but was still only 4.6 degrees. I was very glad to have Anne from Winterfest spotting for me. The biggest issue was keeping in a straight line as the waves kept pushing me towards the shore. Despite the rain, I was delighted to see a number of people along the prom, some of whom took photos. I’ve included one that was posted by a member of Brightlingsea Walkers - many thanks. Due to the wind direction and rain I wasn’t able to put out my usual notice boards or my faithful mascot, P.B., who stayed in the beach hut, in the dry - sensible bear!
