Bleak but beautiful
My arrival at the beach hut this morning coincided with a period of sleet accompanied by a brisk 14mph North Easterly wind. the air temperature was only 3 degrees but combined with the wind it certainly felt much colder when I got out of the water. The wind was too strong and in the wrong direction for my collection tin, which blew off the wall whilst I was changing and trundled down towards the sea! Fortunately I was able to run out and retrieve it, but it did mean that I wasn’t able to collect any generous contributions from the few dog walkers who had braved the prom.
The sea temperature was down to 6.2 degrees, which isn’t the coldest this winter, but it is heading south and likely to drop further in the next week or so if the forecast is accurate.
