6.2 degrees on 6th December
When I checked my usual pre-swim sources and discovered the temperature had dropped again to 6.2 degrees, the wind whistling around 17mph from the south-south-west and driving rain, I did consider giving it a miss today. I find these days quite challenging, mainly because there is normally no-one around and it can feel quite lonely.
However, my attempts to put my feet up were thwarted by Caroline who was intent on swimming today! I patiently explained the perils and even when we arrived and we saw the waves, I did think she may change her mind. However, she has a significant level of courage and was undeterred.
