Wave? What wave?!?

A great photo taken by Anne Beere as I was getting ready to go in…

A strong 21mph southerly wind brought some great waves and surf today. Unfortunately I only managed 500m as it was pretty hard work, especially against the current. I was very grateful to Anne for the photo and also for her generous donation to the Wellbeing Fund which now stands at £2033.63.

The forecast tomorrow is for southerly winds between 47mph and 52mph. If that turns out to be the case I suspect tomorrow may be the first time this winter that nature beats me. That will then leave 1250m for the last swim on Friday, which is likely to be too much for me. So the goal of swimming a marathon during the winter may have to wait until next year.

Nevertheless, it was great fun!
