High and lively

A decent 20mph south easterly made today’s swim lively and hard work. With the temperature settled on 6.1 degrees, the wind and current made this one of the hardest swims in a while. Unfortunately, I only made 500m and that took almost 17 minutes, which is a lot slower than usual. I was very pleased to have my friend Helena Nwaokolo, from Brightwords and her charming dog Mac, come down to watch me safely in and out of the water. A lot of the promenade was impassable today as the high tide came up to the wall in many places. However there were still a few people out walking the hut side of the wall. Thanks as always to those who donated money via my Winterfest collecting tin.
