A big thank you to Brightlingsea Arts & Crafts

After my swim this morning I recorded a short thank you video to the amazing Brightlingsea Arts & Crafts. On Sunday they donated the entire proceeds of their table fees from their last Arts & Crafts sale. A total of £200! Thanks to Alix Sheppard of Winterfest for very quickly loaded the video onto the Winterfest and Spotted Brightlingsea Facebook pages.

The sea was a little more lively this morning although the temperature had crept up from 5.8 degrees (on Friday) to 6.3 degrees today. I completed the standard 500m which resulted in yet another encounter with my old friend “The Afterdrop”. I had a bit of difficulty locking the hut from a combination of swollen wooden doors and quite pronounced shaking as the cold blood pooled in my extremities during the swim started to circulate around my body.

However, I’m pleased with how December is unfolding and now only have another 750m to swim this month to be able to chalk off another month of this five month challenge. It was also really pleasing to receive another £5.50 in cash donations in my collecting tin.
