Sub 40 degrees Fahrenheit

A beautiful day, some lovely local people who came to support me, more money in my donation box and a new low temperature for me!

At 4.4 degrees C the temperature in Fahrenheit is just 39.9 degrees, so another personal record. The swim itself was fine, as was the post swim process, with no Afterdrop and only minimal ‘tingling’ in my hands and feet. The sunshine helped psychologically I am sure, as did the warmer air temperature. I will be intrigued to see if the water temperature continues to go down - which happened last winter, although the lowest it got was 6 degrees C back in 2020.

Whatever happens, I’m up for the challenge and hoping to get my two mandatory swims in for February on 1st and 2nd of the month; Monday and Tuesday of next week before the light takes away swimming opportunities again for a week or so. I will be publishing my planned dates for February over the weekend sometime.

Thanks again to those who came to encourage me again today.
