And so it begins…
Sunday 1st November.
Great news that the first day of the challenge brings with it an ideal time of day for the high tide to lap around the promenade of Brightlingsea, the location for my Polar Bear Challenge.
At 20 miles per hour the wind was right at the top end of what I am happy swimming in during the colder months, but I couldn’t resist kicking off the challenge on the 1st of the month.
For each swim I intend to take a photo with this board providing some info on the conditions. I hope to put any additional photos taken by friends of curious (astounded/appalled) members of the public in a separate gallery. When I do this I will add a link at the bottom of my blog post.
Water temperature - 11.9 degrees C
Wind - 19 mph
High Tide - 5.01m
