Valentines Day flowers!
I was delighted to be joined today by Anne and John, Stephen and Katie and my Mum! Anne presented me with some lovely flowers on behalf of Winterfest. It was another choppy 6.9 degree swim, which once again, proved to be hard work. Another £18 collected for the Winterfest Wellbeing Fund, so worth the extra effort.
The south westerly had the water sloshing over the steps onto the promenade but fortunately the tide was lower than earlier in the week, so no danger to the beach huts.
After swimming 6 days in a row, I’ll now be taking a break until Tuesday 20th, as the light will not be good enough at the time of the high tides until then. So far I have clocked up 4,750m in February and if conditions are favourable I still have another potentially 8 more swimming days left this month. I’d like to do better than the 7,250 I swam in December. When I completed the Arctic challenge two years ago I only managed 3,000m in February, so I’m already pleased with that improvement.
