A misty deserted prom

Contrary to the BBC weather forecast, there was no sign of the sun this afternoon. When I arrived the prom was deserted and the mist was quite thick giving quite poor visibility. The sea temperature, which had slightly rallied to 5.4 degrees over the weekend, had dropped back down to 4.7 degrees today. This meant another 500m in sub 5 degree temperatures.

Just as I was about to set off Anne and John arrived once more to give me some support and check that I managed to get back safely. The picture below, of me getting out of the water, was kindly taken by Anne.

Just two more swims and then January will be done and I’ll just have two months to go!
